No world titles will be on the line when IBF junior welterweight champion Lamont Peterson (31-1-1, 16 KOs) faces WBC interim junior welterweight champion Lucas Matthysse (33-2, 31 KOs) on May 18 at Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City. The bout will be fought at a 141 lb. catch weight, one pound over the division limit.

In the co-feature, IBF welterweight title will be on the line when reigning champion Devon Alexander “The Great†(24-1, 13 KOs) defends against undefeated #1 contender Kell “The Special One†Brook (29-0, 19 KOs).

Tickets priced at $250, $125, $75, $50 and $25 go on sale on Wednesday at noon ET and will be available for purchase at the Boardwalk Hall box office, by calling Ticketmaster at (800) 736-1420 or online at www.ticketmaster.com.

matthysse knows if he gets the IBF that garcia wont be forced to face him.  garcia still may drop the WBC belt to avoid him but at least this makes it seem more shameful

aside from you guys personal attraction to the aroma of matthysse sack , wheres the signs that show Garcia wont fight him? what does Garcia have to fear aside from getting less zeros to fight him?

 

any little bit of proof????? see Paulie girl about how this is called PRIZE fighting , like I said if matthysse could get a fight with Khan , he'd fight him over Garcia in a new York minute
