Mofo2 Posted April 10, 2013 Share Posted April 10, 2013 Cleverly will start a strong favourite against the little-known German at Wembley Arena in his latest WBO light-heavyweight title defence and could be just one fight away from a showdown with IBF champion and global icon Bernard Hopkins.Hopkins has already indicated his interest in a bout in London but Cleverly is adamant he will not look beyond Krasniqi, who has lost just two of his 41 professional bouts to date.Cleverly told TalkSport: "It is important that I am successful because I've got big plans for the future."Bernard Hopkins is the pinnacle name in the light-heavyweight division. That's the fight I crave and I've got to win this fight to keep that fight alive, so it is very important."Cleverly has spent some time studying Krasniqi, who is regarded as a light-puncher having stopped just 15 of his victims inside the distance, although he comes to the UK on the back of a four-fight stoppage streak.Cleverly added: "He is a good fighter and he's coming into the fight with lots of confidence. He's on a 38-fight winning streak and he's knocked out his last four opponents."He will come in full of hunger and he will do his best to rip the title away from me, so I'm fully prepared."
