Conditions for Chavez Martinez rematch

I would really be pleased by a rematch my self :nice

NEW YORK -- The advisor of RING and WBC middleweight champion Sergio Martinez said the Argentine would consider a rematch with Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. if it took place in Las Vegas, Atlantic City or New York, and under the condition that both fighters contractually agree to Olympic-style drug testing.

Advisor Sampson Lewkowicz spoke to RingTV.com on April 13 during an afternoon promotional pressconference at Gallagher's Steak House in New York announcing the June 29 fight between middleweight challenger Matthew Macklin and WBA titleholder Gennady Golovkin.

Martinez (50-2-2, 28 KOs) is coming off September's unanimous decision victory over Chavez (46-1-1, 32 KOs) at the Thomas and Mack Center in Las Vegas, a dominant performance that took a dramatic turn in the 12th round when Martinez had to fight to survive following a knockdown.

In March, Chavez was fined $900,000 and suspended for nine months by the Nevada State Athletic Commission after his post-Martinez-fight drug test revealed marijuana metabolites.

"We're willing to fight Chavez again under the condition of this time having the Olympic test," said Lewkowicz. "If there is nothing wrong, do the test, and we'll have a fight."

The fine represented 30 percent of Chavez's $3 million purse, and ranked as the second-biggest ever in NSAC history behind Mike Tyson's $3 million for biting Evander Holyfield's ear.

In addition, the NSAC's move outraged Chavez's promoter, Top Rank CEO Bob Arum, who vowed that Chavez's next fight, targeted for June 22 likely in Texas, would not take place in Las Vegas.

But Lewkowicz said he would insist on Martinez-Chavez II taking place either in Las Vegas, Atlantic City or New York. New York's Madision Square Garden was the site of Martinez's 11th-round knockout win over Macklin, whom he dropped twice in final round after having been floored, himself, in the seventh.

"We would have three to choose from," said Lewkowicz. "No. 1, Las Vegas. No. 2, New Jersey, and No. 3, New York."
