George Groves has continued his war of words with Chris Eubank Jr by insisting his British rival lacks pedigree and is nothing more than ‘Insta-famous’.

Eubank Jr and Groves put their world titles on the line when they face off in the semi-final of the World Boxing Super Series on February 17.

Groves is by far the more experienced fighter after numerous world title bids and ripped into his opponent’s credentials in a press conference on Tuesday.

‘Junior is terrific at a soundbite, it’s made him Insta-famous and it works for him,’ said Groves.

‘But I’m sorry to say that Junior isn’t good enough, he doesn’t have the pedigree or the ability.

Eubank Jr got schooled!!

He needs to drop back down to 160

Late reply ,but all Groves did was jab and potshot to win that fight.  He won by keeping Eubanks on the outside and doing this armpit lean clinch thing that kept him from getting any good inside work.   I don't think it was the weight... I think maybe it was his slimy use of reach imho lol

That's ring generalship right there, dictating where the fights gonna take place. Everyone knew Eubanks best chance to win was to get inside so George kept him at bay. Eubank didn't want to take any crazy chances coming forward cause Groves has world class power. In the opening rounds Eubank looked a little nervous, he was biting on all of Georges feints & ducking below the waist to avoid getting hammered. Then towards the end he said fuck it & started taking more chances but he still couldnt land enough. Difficult to fight a guy who's bigger, more skilled & has more power.

Yes, A different style (and skill level)  but imho largely the same tactic Mayweather used to win many of his more recent fights.  There were those who could see the precision and technique, ... and some who thought it was boring and 'running' . ... same deal different fighter in a way.
