WBF OG mexfighter Posted August 18, 2019 WBF OG Share Posted August 18, 2019 So why are we bound by his formula? Who made it the gold standard? Besides, him beating a #1 of his time doesn't make that #1 better than a #1 from earlier eras. For example, Pacquiao beat diaz, the champ at lightweight. Was that champ better than duran while he was ranked #2 in the world? Beating the champ holds more weight in this formula but beating duran is a bigger job so this formula stinks. WBF OG mexfighter Posted August 18, 2019 WBF OG Share Posted August 18, 2019 Whether controversial or not, Leonard beat benitez, duran, hearns, and hagler. That list alone is untouched in history.
GRIM
How was it formulated? “The BoxRec all time ratings should reflect the accumulated success over a boxer’s career independent of the weight divisions.”
