After Auburn took down No. 1 Alabama on Saturday, Nov. 30, in one of the most incredible finishes in college football history, the Auburn grounds crew responsible for maintenance of the field at Jordan-Hare Stadium spotted a dumping of cremated human remains.

Per the War Eagle Reader, this is not the first time human remains have been found dumped on the field (they can apparently identify the remains from the bone fragments in the ashes). It appears that diehard Tigers fans may see the this as a perfect resting place following a huge program win.

The wife of a kidnapped soccer star was left horrified after discovering her husband’s severed head on her doorstep.

Brazilian Joao Rodrigo Silva Santos was last seen getting into a car earlier this week and his wife and police became concerned for his welfare after he failed to return home.

Police in Rio de Janeiro said they believed the former star had been targeted by drug gangs due to his wife Geisa’s job at a police station.

The 35-year-old had played for several teams in his native city as well as internationally, the Mirror reported.

His head was found inside his own backpack with the eyes and tongue removed.

A relative of the family spoke of his shock over the death and said it had come as a complete surprise to Geisa.

“She was getting ready to go to work at 5.30am when she heard a noise, opened the door and saw his rucksack. Inside was his head. From what I know, neither had any enemies,†he said.

It is understood the body of the soccer player has not yet been found.

Coked-up Knicks players fixed games as a favor to their drug dealer — who bet big bucks against the anemic New York squad, FBI informants claimed during the 1981-82 season.

The feds probed whether three Knicks, reportedly “heavy users of cocaine,” and their supplier, “one of the largest dealers on the East Coast,” shaved points, according to FBI documents cited in Brian Tuohy’s book, “Larceny Games: Sports Gambling, Game Fixing and the FBI.”

The dealer was a degenerate gambler who usually bet $300 a game, informants told investigators, but in January 1982 he began laying $10,000 wagers on Knicks’ opponents — and winning them.

By March 25, the coke dealer had won six of his seven five-figure bets against the Knicks — while continuing to make his normal $300 wagers on other NBA games.

“Over . . . the last two months, all three [players] have given . . . tips on when to bet the Knicks to lose. This has occurred seven times and six of the tips were good,” according to FBI files citing two unnamed “sources.”

At the same time, FBI moles began to suspect the Knick trio were “betting against themselves.”

In November, an informant told the feds one of the schemers owed a “large . . . gambling debt” to a Luchese crime-family bookie.

“So many people say it’s impossible to fix a game because guys are paid so much money,” Tuohy told The Post. “But you can see how easily they can get hooked on some drug, be gambling themselves and get in deep with a bookie.”

A point-shaving hoopster could tank his performance to make the final score closer than it should be, helping those who bet the underdog. Or, a crooked player could make mistakes to inflate the margin of defeat, aiding a favorite-bettor.

Initially, an FBI source didn’t believe players were shaving points, but merely “extending a courtesy to their cocaine dealer, regarding inside player information,” the documents read.

But that opinion changed by late March as the dealer’s windfall grew. “Source now believes that the players are actively engaging in ‘shaving points’ and possibly even betting against themselves,” the feds state.

“Source observed heavy betting by [redacted] toward the latter part of the season . . . on the Knicks to lose certain games. In each case, the Knicks did lose, or failed to cover the point spread,” the FBI file reads.

The names of the players and the dealer are redacted in the FBI documents, which The Post authenticated with the federal agency.

The Knicks were owned at the time by Gulf+Western, and led by guard Micheal Ray Richardson, who averaged almost 18 points per game despite a rumored cocaine addiction.

Richardson famously said, “The ship be sinking,” as the team fell to 33-49, finishing last in the Atlantic Division. He was banned for life from the NBA in 1986 for violating the NBA’s drug policy three times.

“Hell no!” Richardson, 58 and living in Texas, told The Post when asked about the point-shaving allegations. “We never did anything like that.”

The Knicks declined comment.

The team was coached by the late Red Holzman.

Alex Bradley, a rookie on the squad, said players phoned it in — but not to bookies.

“At times the coach was a little lax, and he didn’t put enough pressure on those guys [to play harder],” said Bradley, now a security guard in Wilmington, Del. “At certain times, when we needed to turn it up, it just wasn’t there.”

The feds’ probe stretched into 1986, and widened to the coke dealer conspiring with “various professional basketball teams to shave points.”

But without any physical evidence — and no confessions — the Knicks case crumpled. An FBI spokeswoman said the case was closed, without any arrests, in 1986.

Around the same time as the Knicks probe, the FBI and the NBA, along with other sports leagues, began the Sports Presentation Program, sending agents to teams to discuss the dangers of sports gambling and bribery.

“It was no coincidence,” Tuohy said.

"In the second-half, several fans, or whatever you want to call them, felt the need to shout stuff like '*nicer*' or 'black pig' in my direction," the Ingolstadt defender told SID, an AFP subsidiary.

"There was only a few of them, but every time the ball came near me, there were monkey chants. Of course, it's a pretty shitty feeling." As the insults continued, the junior international complained to referee Florian Mayer, who had an announcement put out over the tannoy system to stop the abuse.

AC Milan midfielder Kevin-Prince Boateng - who was born in Germany but played for Ghana at international level - famously walked off the pitch in Italy when subject to racist abuse last January, but Da Costa said doing something similar "wasn't an option for me at that moment".

The right-back said this was the worst abuse he had experienced in his short career. "I have never seen anything like this before," he said. "Recently, I stood on the pitch with the Under-21 team and sang the German national anthem - now I have to take these insults.

"These are just morons who should stay at home and insult the wallpaper."

1860 Munich's chief executive officer Robert Schaefer apologised to Da Costa in a statement and said a stadium ban will follow for those responsible.

"Any abuse of this kind has no place at our games," said Schaefer.

"We are very grateful to our stewards, who immediately responded professionally and consistently.

"We were able to identify the person and have him arrested.

"Additionally, we will immediately issue a stadium ban."

Da Costa's team-mate Ralph Gunesch, who sat on the Ingolstadt bench and heard what was being shouted, took to Facebook to vent his fury.

"To continually insult a dark-skinned player with "fucking *nicer*" or "get back in the bush" with ape noises only shows that their IQ is only just above that of burnt toast," wrote Gunsch.

"Lock yourselves up at home and prattle on with your racist rubbish to the wallpaper, but save us all from these ideas.

"Racism is a crime not an opinion."

Not sure how well Bowe will do but I will say he is going to be one of the largest  Muay Thai fighters 

There's a lot of interest in the likelihood of former world boxing champion Riddick Bowe making his Muay Thai debut, which is scheduled for June 14 in Pattaya.

Bowe is now in Thailand training in full rules Muay Thai to learn grappling and close-combat knee strikes.

He reportedly suffered an ankle injury, which forced the postponement of his fight in Pattaya from this month to next month.

His opponent has yet to be announced but whoever it is will need to tip the scales well over 200 pounds to compete in Bowe's super-heavyweight division.

Bowe isn't the first heavyweight boxer with aspirations to be a Muay Thai fighter. There have been other high-profile boxers who have expressed a willingness to make a transition from boxing with fist combat to the eight-limb Muay Thai weaponry of feet, knees, elbows and hands.

Mike Tyson contemplated switching to Muay Thai after being arrested in September 2007 for possession of narcotics and diving under the influence of alcohol.

After being sentenced to 24 hours in jail and 360 hours of community work, Tyson considered moving to Thailand to become a Muay Thai fighter. But he was lured by a lucrative offer to take part in K1 kickboxing and never wore the Thai mongkon into the ring.

Three-time world boxing champion Jeff Fenech _ who was the first to beat Thailand's great Muay Thai champion Samart Payak-arun for the WBC world boxing title _ trained Tyson for his final professional fight.

Fenech recalls how Tyson was impressed by the nobility of the Thai ring warriors.

"But as much as Mike liked the spirit of Muay Thai he was an instinctive fist fighter. The switch from boxing to Muay Thai takes a long time. It's a whole different fighting art," he said.

Current WBC heavyweight world champion Vitali Klitschko was a kickboxing champion before he turned to boxing and has since become one of the most successful heavyweight boxers.

Klitschko will probably return to kickboxing after he retires as a professional boxer.

"The thing about kickboxing is that it's multiple weapons. You have a lot more choice being able to use your legs and arms. The legs are the biggest limbs on the body and therefore a kick has a lot more power," he told me in 2010.

Klitschko said that, like Tyson and now Bowe, he had also been intrigued the culture of Muay Thai.

"Thai boxing is a cornerstone of martial arts. It's the spirit of the warriors personified in the world today. But when I looked at Muay Thai I realised that it's more than kickboxing _ it's got a whole package of unarmed combat skills," he said.

Whether Bowe can make the transition from being a boxer to a Muay Thai fighter will be determined by his physical conditioning and ability to adapt.

His record stands at 43-1 with 33 knockouts, which is impressive considering that he was the first boxer to knock out Evander Holyfield.

But at 47 years of age, Bowe is long past his prime as an active fighter. And while he'll probably pull a big crowd to watch him fight in Muay Thai his days as a ring warrior are fading fast.

Meanwhile, the great Lumpinee Stadium that's now into its final six months of a stellar half-century history is set to stage one of the year's classic match-ups between grandmaster Saenchai Sor Kingstar and top ranked Sakson A Kwanmuang on Friday.

Saenchai has declined a number of offers to fight abroad to concentrate on fulfilling his duty as Bangkok's star attraction, as Lumpinee prepares for a final closedown in December to reopen at a new location in Bangkok's suburbs.

Saenchai is regarded as the best pound-for-pound Muay Thai fighter in the world today despite his advancing years.

Among his upcoming fights at Lumpinee, Saenchai will be fully tested by the 17-year-old superstar Yodwicha Por Boonsit, who shared this year's prestigious Sports Writers' Association of Thailand's Muay Thai boxer of the year award with 16-year-old Saengmanee Sor Tienpho, the pride of Rajadamnern Stadium.

Saengmanee has won four titles at four different weights inside 10 months and won fighter of the year awards at both Lumpinee and Rajadamnern stadiums.

Yodwicha is Lumpinee's super-featherweight champion and he'll be matching his youthful exuberance and class against Saenchai's sheer brilliance.

This won’t be the first time that Alex Rodriguez looked dumb, if it turns out to be true that he essentially purchased the Biogenesis documents, as it is now alleged. But this is in a different league from trying to pick up women from the dugout during a playoff game or kissing himself in a mirror for a photo spread.

For one thing, did he really believe that he could make the story go away by buying the evidence? As if the people he was buying it from were good to their word that they weren’t selling the same information to other interested parties, such as Major League Baseball?

More significantly, dumb is dumb, but in this case, A-Rod has never looked so desperate.

Finally, this kind of dumb could get him in big trouble, as it could pass for proof of being guilty as charged for buying performance-enhancing drugs from Anthony Bosch and the Biogenesis Clinic in Miami.

Of course, MLB would have to be able to prove A-Rod did indeed have an intermediary make such a purchase, as the Daily News’ I-Team reported via sources on Friday, and that would be complicated, at the very least.

Still, you’d have to think this increases the chances of A-Rod being suspended, whenever MLB finishes with its investigation of the story that the Miami New Times broke before spring training began.

However, it doesn’t necessarily make it more likely that the Yankees could void A-Rod’s contract and be rid of him, as much as they’d love to.

At least that’s the way an MLB source was reading the new development on Friday.

“If he does get suspended,’’ the source said, “it’s all spelled out in the collective bargaining agreement as punishment in regard to the drug-testing policy. Buying the evidence, if that’s the case, doesn’t change anything in that regard.’’

The caveat to that, the source said, would be if this somehow led to criminal charges of A-Rod tampering with evidence, should the federal government consider the matter worthy of its own investigation.

To this point, baseball people don’t believe the feds have much of an appetite for such an investigation, after the government spent so much time and money chasing Barry Bonds and Roger Clemens in regard to steroids, and came away with minimal results.

So in one sense, this may not change anything regarding A-Rod’s future with the Yankees. If he can recover from his second, and more complicated hip surgery, he’ll likely play for them again at some point.

On the other hand, some baseball people believe this latest episode is a sign of just how fragile A-Rod’s psyche is these days, how desperate he is to avoid being further tainted as a steroid user and thus the scourge of Yankee fans everywhere.

As it is, A-Rod offered an indication of his state of mind when he showed up for Opening Day a couple of weeks ago but chose not to be introduced on the field with the rest of the Yankees, knowing what a hostile reception he would get.

Then there is the matter of his dependency on PEDs. More and more the evidence suggests that he has been using some form of them for at least most of his major league career, and, who knows, maybe longer than that.

If he went right back to using in 2009, after being forced to admit that he’d used steroids in the past, it tells you how dependent he was on the juice, perhaps more psychologically than anything.

In that case, you do have to wonder whether A-Rod would be mentally strong enough to come back and play without the juice at the age of 37 after another hip surgery in an environment where he is already largely despised by Yankee fans as the anti-Jeter.

“I’m not sure he could handle all of that,’’ one former teammate of A-Rod’s said on Friday night. “He’s really not a bad guy, but he wants to be liked so badly that it affects everything he does. It kills him that he’s never been able to win the fans over, even after he played such a huge part in winning a championship (in 2009).

“He’s always been able to play through it, but if he really did need that stuff to play, he might be a shell of himself now coming back from another hip surgery. At some point that might be too much for him.’’

At what point, though? After the $28 million the Yankees are paying A-Rod for this season, they owe him four more years and $86 million, plus potential milestone home run bonuses.

This latest dumb play isn’t likely to change that obligation. But it may offer the Yankees reason to believe that A-Rod is fragile enough that he might be amenable to some sort of settlement to his contract. They can hope, anyway.

I can only remember bits and pieces of the game. I was psyched. I had a feeling of euphoria. I was zeroed in on the [catcher's] glove, but I didn't hit the glove too much. I remember hitting a couple of batters, and the bases were loaded two or three times. The ball was small sometimes, the ball was large sometimes, sometimes I saw the catcher, sometimes I didn't. Sometimes, I tried to stare the hitter down and throw while I was looking at him. I chewed my gum until it turned to powder. I started having a crazy idea in the fourth inning that Richard Nixon was the home plate umpire, and once I thought I was pitching a baseball to Jimi Hendrix, who to me was holding a guitar and swinging it over the plate. They say I had about three to four fielding chances. I remember diving out of the way of a ball I thought was a line drive. I jumped, but the ball wasn't hit hard and never reached me.

The block, you might remember, was a signature moment in the Pacers' series win over the Knicks.

Anthony challenged Hibbert with a dunk attempt midway through the fourth quarter of Game 6, and the Pacers' 7-foot-2 big man turned Anthony away at the rim.

"It was a hell of a block," Anthony said. "Big play by Hibbert, kind of shifted the momentum at that point."

The Pacers outscored the Knicks 16-7 after Hibbert's block. Unfortunately for Anthony, his fingerprints were all over the run as the Knicks star had three turnovers late in the game.

Anthony finished with 39 points on the night, but Hibbert's block was the lasting image of the series.

And now, it will be a lasting image in Hibbert's basement.

Tony Bosch, founder of the now-shuttered Biogenesis of America, reached an agreement this week to cooperate with MLB's investigation, two sources told "Outside the Lines," giving MLB the ammunition officials believe they need to suspend the players.

One source familiar with the case said the commissioner's office might seek 100-game suspensions for Rodriguez, Braun and other players, the penalty for a second doping offense. The argument, the source said, is the players' connection to Bosch constitutes one offense, and previous statements to MLB officials denying any such connection or the use of PEDs constitute another.

Bosch and his attorneys did not return several calls. MLB officials refused to comment when reached Tuesday.

Bosch is expected to begin meeting with officials -- and naming names -- within a week. The announcement of suspensions could follow within two weeks.

Investigators have had records naming about 20 players for more than a month. But without a sworn statement from Bosch that the records are accurate and reflect illicit interactions between the players and the self-described biochemist, the documents are little more than a road map.

Sources did not say what other materials, such as receipts and phone records, Bosch might provide, but said he has pledged to provide anything in his possession that could help MLB build cases against the players. Sources said MLB officials were not sure how many players might end up being pulled into the scandal; the 20 or so they know of have been identified through paperwork, but Bosch is expected to provide more. (Because some players are listed by their names and some by code names, officials are not yet certain whether some are redundant.)

The development is a major break for MLB, which has pursued the case vigorously since Bosch's name was brought to MLB's attention last summer. In exchange for Bosch's full cooperation, sources said, Major League Baseball will drop the lawsuit it filed against Bosch in March, indemnify him for any liability arising from his cooperation, provide personal security for him and even put in a good word with any law enforcement agency that might bring charges against him. Sources said negotiations over the agreement, which lasted several weeks, stalled over the last point, as Bosch wanted the strongest assurances he could get that MLB would help mitigate any prosecution.

At the same time, MLB is trying to secure the cooperation of at least two other former Bosch associates who have spoken to MLB investigators, as well as Juan Carlos Nunez, a registered agent who worked for longtime agents Seth and Sam Levinson and who is believed to have been a conduit between Bosch and numerous players.

MLB already has established precedent to suspend a player for two offenses in one shot: Minor league player Cesar Carrillo was hit with a 100-game suspension in March when he was confronted with Biogenesis documents containing his name and then denied having any connection to Bosch or the clinic.

However, because Carrillo was on a minor league contract and thus not a member of the MLB Players Association, he was not entitled to an appeal through arbitration. Major league players accused by MLB are expected to fight any suspension, and efforts to charge the players with multiple offenses would take that fight to another level. In the appeals process, players are allowed to confront witnesses and evidence in a courtroom-like procedure before an arbitration panel.

Corroborating evidence against some players could prove difficult to come by. Several sources told ESPN that Bosch dealt only in cash and usually used friends as couriers, sometimes never seeing some of the athletes he served.

In a recent interview with ESPN, his only one since the scandal broke, Bosch said he knew nothing about performance-enhancing drugs and that media accounts of his alleged PED distribution amounted to "character assassination."

"I have been accused, tried and convicted in the media. And so I think have been falsely accused throughout the media," he told ESPN's Pedro Gomez. "I've done nothing wrong."

But sources said Bosch has been feeling pressure from both the MLB lawsuit, which claims tortious interference, and a potential criminal investigation, and that he sees full cooperation with MLB as one of his only refuges. Several attorneys have said they don't think the lawsuit could survive a legal challenge, but Bosch likely would have to put up a costly fight in order to have the case dismissed. Several sources have told ESPN that Bosch is nearly broke, living alternately with family members and friends, and has tried unsuccessfully so far to revive his "wellness" business.

The Florida Department of Health recently said it had sent Bosch a cease-and-desist letter and referred the case to law enforcement. MLB has tried to enlist the Drug Enforcement Agency, but no sources close to the clinic said they have been interviewed by any law enforcement agents and don't know of anyone who has been.

MLB officials, though, traveled to Miami last month to take the deposition of anti-aging specialist Dr. Daniel Carpman, a former acquaintance of Bosch. Biogenesis documents from 2011 included prescription forms purportedly signed by Carpman, who previously told "Outside the Lines'' that he didn't sign the forms.

Bosch first came to MLB's attention in 2009 after Manny Ramirez, then with the Los Angeles Dodgers, tested positive for excessive levels of testosterone. While Ramirez appealed that finding, MLB officials discovered a prescription in Ramirez's medical file for human chorionic gonadotropin, another banned substance. The HCG prescription, sufficient evidence to suspend Ramirez, was written by Dr. Pedro Bosch, Tony's father, but sources said at the time that Tony Bosch actually had been facilitating Ramirez's drug use. MLB tried to get the DEA involved, but the agency took a pass. Ramirez was suspended for 50 games and was suspended a second time for 100 games in 2011 after he failed another test.

Tony Bosch resurfaced last summer after several players, all with connections to the Miami area, tested positive for excessive levels of testosterone. Melky Cabrera, Bartolo Colon and Yasmani Grandal all received 50-game suspensions. When an ESPN reporter asked MLB officials about information that all three might have been connected to Bosch, MLB launched an investigation, sending several members of its Department of Investigations to South Florida, where they have repeatedly visited former Biogenesis employees and Bosch associates, even paying at least one $5,000 for information.

Braun's name appears on at least two documents, one that lists him as owing $20,000 to $30,000 and another that says he owed $1,500 for what sources said were PEDs. Braun issued a statement saying the larger figure was to pay Bosch for consulting on his successful appeal of a 50-game suspension after he tested positive for elevated testosterone in October 2011, and Braun denied ever receiving or using PEDs. During his interview with ESPN, Bosch said he only consulted with Braun, but sources said he is expected to tell MLB he did provide the Milwaukee star with drugs.

MLBPA officials have negotiated with their MLB counterparts to offer limited cooperation from the players but have been concerned the players could expose themselves to further liability.

Bosch's claims in his ESPN interview that he never distributed PEDs are sharply at odds with accounts from numerous sources who say he helped provide banned substances to possibly dozens of athletes. They also contradict paperwork that several sources said was handwritten by Bosch. Shown a list of athletes who allegedly received PEDs through Biogenesis, Bosch told ESPN's Pedro Gomez, "No comment. I have never seen that in my life." The list was one of dozens of documents obtained by "Outside the Lines" and is similar to the documents in MLB's possession.

Some paperwork, taken from company computers rather than Bosch's handwritten notes, lists players by code names. Most, such as Rodriguez, Colon, Cabrera and others, have been identified in media reports, but MLB will want Bosch to say who the code names represented.

Also sure to be on MLB's list of questions is whether the Yankees' Robinson Cano, who could sign a lucrative free-agent contract after this season, had any connection to Bosch or the clinic. The spokeswoman for Cano's foundation, Sonia Cruz, was listed in Biogenesis documents, as ESPN reported, and MLB officials have investigated whether she might have been a conduit for Cano.

A senior Yankee official told ESPN New York's Andrew Marchand that the team has been told that Robinson Cano is not in trouble. "Cano is not a part of this," the official said.

The players who might ultimately face discipline from MLB include: Rodriguez, Braun, Cabrera, Colon, Grandal, Nelson Cruz, Francisco Cervelli, Jesus Montero, Jhonny Peralta, Cesar Puello, Fernando Martinez, Everth Cabrera, Fautino de los Santos, Jordan Norberto and a number of other players who either are identified by code names or whose names appear in other documents not obtained by "Outside the Lines."

One player who will be scrutinized but possibly exonerated is the Nationals' Gio Gonzalez, who was listed among Biogenesis clients, but two sources told ESPN the only substances he received from the clinic were legal.
