  8. As Conor McGregor prepares for the biggest fight of his life just one month away as he faces Floyd Mayweather in a boxing match on Aug. 26 in Las Vegas, he’s moved his camp to Las Vegas where he’s been working with several new training partners. Retired boxing champion and Showtime color commentator Paulie Malignaggi joined the ranks of McGregor’s team last week when he showed up to offer the UFC champion some sparring rounds after a critical assessment of his chances to beat Mayweather in a boxing match. http://www.mmaweekly.com/paulie-malignaggi-critical-of-conor-mcgregors-knockout-power-for-boxing

  10. Good read. I myself think power and chins we all posses. But to me it is the timing of the punch landed, and also the timing of the punch received that produces the desired effects.

In the fight with the huge puncher George Foreman, few gave him the slightest chance, but Muhammad Ali shocked the world with an incredible performance, ending with a spectacular knockout Take a look at his incredible story below: https://ruiksport.com/video-they-told-me-you-could-punch-muhammad-ali-taunted-the-dreaded-puncher-49-years-ago-then-he-gave-him-a-taste-of-his-own-medicine-and-sent-him-down/

  20. Yes, this was a great fight. I had hoped Shields would get a stoppage and could see at the end she was trying to. I was impressed by how composed Shields was, & how she listened to her corner and stuck to the plan. I liked the combination of coming forward and boxing and countering from the outside. Hammer was not so sassy after the fight lol but I supposed she displayed that she had a chin, lol.

  21. SO we all know this was an exhibition, but uhhhh it looked very choreographed WWE style to me, and the punches looked very pulled especially Nasukawa's. But easy money for sure.

  22. Best cruiserweight in the world in his day. Not seen many better at CW. Threw it all away for a division he wasnt a natural in plus all the dollar sloshing around. Likes to pretend he is "from the streets" but he actually had a middle-class upbringing. No one wil miss him now - a sad legacy and will be remembered more for his shameless ducking outta fights with faux injuries than his prowess at CW. Good riddance. He now has a stable of up'n comers under the "Hayemaker Ringstar" banner inc HW Joe Joyce and MMA 'star' MVP who has now won 2 boxing matches by KO. See my Week-24 posts for the action...

  26. Hmmm, Canelo by split. I don't think size is an issue only because if I heard correctly Canelo's last fight he weighed in a few lbs lighter. He looks bigger than GGG but I think it's more appearance than anything else. They are both good fighters. I am rooting for Canelo more because I can't stand Golovkins mouth lol

  30. Saturation. In the u.s., there are boxing matches on tv probably 4-5 times a week. ufc is on way less and on crappy ass channels no one knows about. so, the fans are so hungry for fights, they are willing to ppv. supply and demand. low supply, high demand.

  32. I'm thinking Eubank Jr would destroy 3G, Yeah you read it right "destroy" bring it Why do I think this you ask simple he goes hard in the ring, I was anti Chris Eubank Jr but after re watching his fights I see things different now, this guy is an animal in the ring. He might not hit as hard as the claimed 3G but he hits more often and with intensity.

  35. Lou DiBella, the promoter of Haymon’s Premier Boxing Champions card Sunday in Brooklyn, confirmed to the Los Angeles Times on Monday night that the Spence-Leonard Bundu fight drew a 4.6 overnight rating. That means roughly six million viewers watched Spence’s sixth-round knockout of Bundu in their IBF welterweight elimination match at Ford Amphitheater at Coney Island. NBC is expected to announce the official final rating sometime Tuesday, but the initial figures indicate the Spence-Bundu bout drew the largest rating of any PBC broadcast on network television since its inaugural show in March 2015. http://www.boxingscene.com/spence-bundu-bout-draws-pbc-network-record-6-million-viewers--107996?print_friendly=1
