GRIM
MELDRICK TAYLOR ARRESTED ON AGGRAVATED ASSAULT CHARGES AFTER STANDOFF WITH POLICE Meldrick Taylor, the two-time world champion and 1984 Olympic gold medalist, was arrested Tuesday morning at his residence in North Philadelphia after an armed standoff with police. Officers responded to a call Monday night Taylor, 52, was taken into custody by Philadelphia police at approximately 1:30 a.m. Tuesday morning and charged with Aggravated Assault, Possession of an Instrument of Crime, Terroristic Threats and related offenses, police sources confirmed to The Ring. According to NBC Philadelphia, a 26-year-old man claims Taylor pulled a revolver on him during a dispute while trying to evict him from an apartment. The Philly Voice reports that Taylor owns a two-story brick row home on the block where the incident took place. The man objected to Taylor’s demands, saying he needed a few days to clear the premises, instead of being ordered to leave the following morning. When police arrived at the scene, Taylor reportedly told them “I ain’t coming out,” but surrendered 90 minutes later. Source: RingTV
blackrican23
Weirdest pairing of speed I seen , he had some of the fastest hands ever but his feet were slow and he didn’t have alot of lateral quickness . He fought in the pocket too long hands blazing had him slurring before 30 but he was entertaining , hope the champ the best

Mofo2
I dont agree at all, there were 4 or 5 seconds left and he didnt look out on his feet to me!!
WBF OG mexfighter Posted June 9, 2019 WBF OG Share Posted June 9, 2019 Same old debate...4 seconds left. Whats the difference if there are 4 or 400 seconds left, the fight is over after 12 rounds, no 11 rounds 2 minutes and 56 seconds. Also, when asked if he was ok, he didn't reply, he just stared blankly at his corner. If that happens in the 4th round, they stop the fight, period. Goid stoppage.

WBF OG Neil_ Posted June 11, 2019 WBF OG Share Posted June 11, 2019 A LOT can occur in 4 seconds mofo, ask Josh B. He is typically finished with his fat barista broad in the bedroom well within 4 seconds

He was hurt, but he was given a count and then stopped whilst he looked reasonably steady on his feet, with actually only 2 seconds remaining; it takes Chavez at least a second to cross the ring if he restarts and Taylor clearly had enough in him to either duck as a shot as it was thrown or to hold on for a further second to win the fight!! Its actually getting worst every time I see it; get off Chavez's nuts ffs
WBF OG mexfighter Posted June 11, 2019 WBF OG Share Posted June 11, 2019 Reasonably steady on his feet? Was he not holding onto the ropes? did you watch the whole fight or just those last few seconds? if he was given the count in the middle of the ring, he would have nothing to hold on to and he'd fall down again. also, why didn't he answer the question "are you ok?" if he was asked that question in the 7th round with a minute to go and reacted the same, they'd have stopped it immediately. fuck those two seconds, the ref is a ref, not a time keeper. Mofo2
I watched the last round and he was leaning against the ropes, so what? - is that something only boxers that are badly hurt do?? that's a pretty standard thing to see when a fighter has gone down and they are looking to steady themselves as their head clears during a count!! He appeared steady enough to be given a chance - shite stoppage!!
WBF OG mexfighter Posted June 11, 2019 WBF OG Share Posted June 11, 2019 ahh, but heres the twist. he was looking at his corner because his cornerman lou duva jumped on the ring apron. automatic disqualification. if you notice chavez, he raises his hands when he says duva in the ring before steele stopped the fight.
