Victor Ortiz comeback derailed

The proposed comeback fight of Victor Ortiz against IBF junior middleweight champion Carlos Molina is off. The IBF would not sanction that fight due to Ortiz suffering two straight stoppage losses, plus having not fought in over 14 months.

The bout was supposed to be the co-feature on Golden Boy’s planned December 14 PPV card headlined by Adrien Broner against Marcos Maidana.

not just that he was coming off defeat , but defeat in another whole different weight class, how do you jump to another weight class for a title shot first fight back!

will feel same way if khan is somehow awarded a fight with the number 1 guy

Khan has won his last couple of fights and will have stepped away from a World title shot to fight Floyd if it comes to fruition, so there is no real comparison here as Amir has gone back to the drawing board and regrouped, he never immediately walked back to fight for a World title, he has taken a back step and now is pressing forward after his own back to back defeats!!

his last " win" or even his last 2 in no way warrant a shot at the welterweight title , given a shot to regain his title at 140 would be a different thing but still not warranted

khan wont get the shot , not after deciding to duck alexander , which oddly enough with a win would give him ground to stand on

We all know his heart isn't in boxing. Golden Boy knows it too. They're trying to milk the last few fights out of him with hopefully one of them being for Canelo.

I guess it can be considered a duck, he wants to ensure the Floyd fight happens and not chance defeat vs Alexander, its the same as Bradley did to Amir when he took an easy fight to ensure he jumped in line to face Manny....in the long run Amir will do what he can to maximise his earnings now!
