blackrican23
DiBella Drops Hamer For Quitting on The Stool, AgainPosted by: Jake Donovan on 11/23/2013 . >>>Click Here For Tons of More Breaking Boxing News, Articles and Insider Information<<< By Jake Donovan There was no sugarcoating Tor Hamer's actions versus Andy Ruiz in their HBO PPV-televised heavyweight bout Sunday morning in Macau (Saturday evening in the U.S), which served in supporting capacity to Manny Pacquiao's ring return versus Brandon Rios. A fun scrap turned anti-climactic when Hamer opted to remain on his stool rather than come out for the fourth round. The act marked the second time in less than a year in which the New York-based heavyweight sought the nearest action in a televised bout. The same pattern developed in his NBC-televised co-feature with Vyacheslav Glazkov last December, bowing out after four rounds of action. Hamer (21-3, 14KO) was given the benefit of the doubt by promoter Lou DiBella, who brought him back for two shows in New York City this year before securing another big payday for his fighter. Saturday night proved to be enough for DiBella, one of the few promoters who not only sees the sports through a fan's eye but holds his own fighters to same standards as his viewing audience. "That is an embarrassment, Tor Hamer. Time to become a pilot," DiBella blurted out on his verified Twitter feed moments after watching his heavyweight quit. "Sorry to the fans. That is not (DiBella Entertainment). Then came what is possibly a first in the sport - a fighter being fired through social media. "By the way Tor, you are released," DiBella continued. "W(hat)T(he)F(***)!"
