Members Slayer
Interesting matchup. According to trainer Joe Gallagher, Bury's Scott Quigg (26-0-1) will soon be facing the unbeaten interim super bantamweight champion, Cuban Yoandris Salinas (20-0), for the full weight version of the title.Gallagher told britishboxers.co.uk: “Scott’s fight with Salinas has been announced today, and he’ll be fighting for the WBA world super-bantamweight title.â€Dates and a venue are yet to be revealed, but, according to the website, the fight is being lined up to take place in the UK.Quigg is also the WBA's interim champion. After a period of inactivity following his sixth round stoppage of Rendall Munroe last November, the Bury fighter split with promoter Ricky Hatton and signed with Matchroom, and recorded an impressive third round stoppage over Brazilian William Prado (21-4-1) at the Bolton Arena last month.
