All the featured fighters on Saturday night at the Fantasy Springs Resort Casino in Indio, California, ended their bouts early with devastating body shots. In the main event, unbeaten local super bantamweight Randy Caballero moved to 19-0, 11 KOs with a seventh round KO over Miguel Robles (12-3-2, 5 KOs), 2012 Olympian featherweight Joseph “Jo Jo†Diaz (6-0, 4 KOs) scored a first round KO over Luis Cosme (8-3-1, 4 KOs) and 2012 Olympian junior middleweight Errol Spence Jr. (7-0, 6 KOs) demolished Eddie Cordova (4-5-1, 1 KO) in round one.

Originally Frankie Gomez vs. Demarcus “Chop Chop†Corley was slated to be the main event. However an injury to Gomez forced him to withdraw from the bout and unbeaten super bantamweight Randy Caballero stepped in to headline in his backyard. Caballero struggled at times as Miguel Robles gave him all he can handle, however Caballero sent the hometown crowd home happy by stopping Robles with a body shot in round seven.

In the opening round Caballero boxed patiently using his jab as Robles sneaked in the right numerous times to start off. The Puerto Rican fighter continued to land the right in round two as Caballero adapted working off the jab. Caballero began to land big punches in round three but Robles relentlessness continued to give Caballero problems as his right hand connected again and again.

Starting to fire more combinations off the jab in round four, Caballero began to get comfortable despite Robles’ continued attack. Robles continued to give Caballero fits as he landed some power shots in round five while Caballero continued to rely on his boxing skill. Things began to get rough in the ring in round six as Robles connected with shot below the belt that momentarily stopped Caballero’s momentum, however shortly after referee Jack Reiss warned Robles for a low blow.

The seventh round saw referee Jack Reiss once again warn Miguel Robles for a low blow. Shortly afterwards a left hook to the body dropped Robles to his knees as referee Jack Reiss reached a ten count at 2:09.

Randy Caballero remains unbeaten and is more likely a fight or two away from a big fight as he improves his mark to 19-0, 11 KOs. Miguel Robles was tough making Caballero work as drops to 12-3-2, 5 KOs.

2012 U.S. Olympian middleweight Errol Spence Jr. of Dallas, Texas, made quick work of Eddie Cordova in one round of a scheduled six round middleweight bout. A crunching left hook to the body by the former Olympian dropped Cordova to his knees as referee Wayne Hedgepeth reached ten at 2:13 of the first round. Errol Spence Jr. improves to 7-0, 5KOs, Eddie Cordova falls to 4-5-1, 1KO.

South El Monte’s Joseph Diaz Jr. continued to impress as he scored a first round knockout over Luis Cosme. A body shot by Diaz dropped Cosme as referee Jack Reiss reached a ten count at 2:09 of the first round. The 2012 U.S. Olympian Joseph Diaz Jr. remains unbeaten on his rise as a prospect as he goes to 7-0, 3KOs. Luis Cosme goes to 8-3-1, 3KOs.
