Mofo2 Posted August 1, 2013 Share Posted August 1, 2013 During a break in his promotional tour in Beijing, China, Manny Pacquiao on Monday clarified that while he is training his sights on the presidency of the Philippines, the Filipino fighter said it won’t be in the next elections set for 2016. “I know the age requirement is 40 years old so while I am looking at the presidency, that won’t be in the next elections in 2016 because I won’t be qualified yet,†said Pacquiao through his lawyer Franklin Gacal.“I was misquoted,†said Pacquiao, who was interviewed by the wires during the kickoff leg of the press tour in Macau over the weekend. Pacquiao is in China to drumbeat his Nov. 24 showdown with Brandon Rios at The Venetian in Macau. Pacquiao won a second term as congressman of the province of Sarangani during the May 2013 elections.
