blackrican23
The fight was billed as “David vs. Goliath,†but this time Goliath won. 6’7, 292lb Alexander Ustimov (29-1, 21 KOs) scored a one-sided twelve round unanimous decision over 40-year-old former heavyweight contender David Tua (52-5-2, 43 KOs) on Saturday night at the Claudelands Arena in Hamilton, New Zealand. Ustinov, who towered over Tua, controlled the action in round one and was also more effective in round two. Tua started to connect in the third, both fighters landed good shots in the fifth. Ustinov was simply busier as Tua wasn’t getting off his punches. A desperate Tua upped the pressure in rounds nine and ten, but Ustinov won the eleventh and twelfth to put it away. The bout ended with the best exchange of the fight. Scores were 119-109, 119-110, 119-108. After the fight, Tua announced his retirement saying his heart was no longer in it. http://www.fightnews.com/Boxing/tua-ustinov-early-results-from-new-zealand-231234
