Deontay Wilder has labelled Britain's Tyson Fury "the clown of heavyweight boxing".

Wilder, 28, has knocked out all of his 30 opponents to date and wants a showdown with the winner of Fury and Dereck Chisora.

The British pair are set for a summer showdown in a WBO title eliminator.

Wilder blasted loud-mouth Fury and claimed the Manchester-born heavyweight has yet to prove he is the world-class fighter he claims to be.

The American said: "You know, he's a sorry excuse for a heavyweight, man, all he wants to do is talk, talk, talk.

"I mean, he thinks that if he talks a good game that will bring excitement to people and stuff like that.

"But people don't want to see a person just talk, talk, talk, they also want to see some action too.

"If you're not showing the action behind it, people are not going to believe you anymore.

"They're just going to assume that you're just a clown of the sport.

"He's just a big mascot and people now they're not laughing with him, they're laughing at him."

Wilder, who takes on Malik Scott this weekend in America, wants the chance to silence Fury later this year.

He added: "To get a fight against Fury or Chisora would be excellent.

"It's a tough one to choose who will win between those two though."
