I’m happy and satisfied that everything worked so well and that I got a fair decision. Now let’s see what happens next.†On the other hand, Solis’ performance left a bitter taste for promoter Ahmet Öner, who signed the former Olympic heavyweight gold medalist out of the amateurs and stood by “La Sombra†his entire pro career. “I’m very disappointed in Solis,†said Öner. “With such a big opportunity I would have expected that he would really give everything and run through a wall, if need be. But he didn’t even knock on the wall. He was lethargic and didn’t deserve to win this fight.
