Hunter is trying to guide Khan back to the top and knows his standing is on the line, despite his success with Andre Ward. The American, who has his third fight with Khan against Luis Collazo at Las Vegas’ MGM Grand on Saturday, said: “My reputation is on the line also. I will take hits too if it is not right. “If I’m going to take hits at least I need to know that deep down I did my best and I can accept that. If I’m not given the best opportunity to do my best that does not sit well with me.†Hunter has insisted Khan train between fights and Collazo is their third camp in the last 12 months as the ex-WBA and IBF light-welterweight king steps up to welterweight. “Amir, in all fairness to him, said he just thought after a fight he was supposed to do what he did until the next one so that is not his fault,†said Hunter. “I said ‘no, you got to practise, this is where you do all your corrections’. He said he would and he has been true to his word. “I think he has improved his decision making. It’s apparent he has grown. Now we must see that in a real fight. “No distractions, and put the best Amir Khan in the ring when he has blinders on, looking straight ahead.
