Mofo2
Dagenham lightweight Kevin Mitchell faces Canada based Congolese Ghislain Maduma (16-0) in a final eliminator for the IBF lightweight title on the May 31st Froch v Groves II undercard at Wembley Stadium. The winner earns a crack at Mexican champion Miguel Vazquez.Maduma brings an unbeaten 16-0 record with ten wins by KO, and will be no walkover for Mitchell, who craves another shot at a world title after a disappointing performance against Ricky Burns in September 2012. Since switching promoters, Mitchell has fought four times in seven months and is back training with Tony Sims at the Hainault Gym, where he benefits from quality sparring.“This fight carries huge risk but also huge rewards,†said Hearn. “I strongly believe that Kevin can beat Vazquez but he has a massive test in Maduma first at Wembley. Maduma is technically very good and can punch with both hands but Kevin has boxed four times in seven months and is ready to enter deep waters – it's going to be a cracking fight.†
