CURTIS Woodhouse has hung up his gloves and called time on his boxing career. The former Grimsby Town and Hull City midfielder - who started his successful stint in the ring after his playing days ended - says he has nothing left to prove.

The 34-year-old lost his British title fight against Willie Limond in Glasgow recently.

"That's definitely it for me now, I'm going to retire from boxing happy that I achieved everything I set out to achieve," Woodhouse told the Hull Daily Mail. He will now focus on managing Goole Town FC.

Woodhouse retires from boxing with a record of 22 wins from 29 fights, and as a former English and British champion, a remarkable feat.
