In his first ten-rounder, two-time Chinese Olympic gold medallist and national icon Zou Shiming (5-0, 1 KO) went the distance to take a unanimous decision over Luis De la Rosa (23-4-1, 13 KOs) for the WBO international flyweight title on Saturday night at the Venetian Macao’s Cotai Arena. It was a good action fight. Shiming was in command from the opening bell, but De La Rosa was very game, even after suffering a bad cut to the left of his left eye due to an accidental headbutt midway. Scores were 99-91, 99-91, 97-93.

Super middleweight Gilberto “Zurdo†Ramirez (29-0, 23 KOs) annihilated Junior Talipeau (20-2-2, 7 KOs) in a bout for the WBO International and NABF super middleweight belts. Ramirez dropped Talipeau three times in round one before the slaughter was halted. Time was 1:58.
