Mofo2 Posted August 4, 2014 Share Posted August 4, 2014 Former European champion Jamie Moore has been recovering in hospital after he was shot in Marbella.The Salford man was hit in the leg and hip after leaving a party and was under armed guard as he received treatment in hospital. Moore has become a trainer since retiring from the ring in 2010 and had been preparing Matthew Macklin for his upcoming fight with Jorge Sebastian Heiland in Dublin, on August 30.The 35-year-old, who also trains Hull lightweight Tommy Coyle, held British and Commonwealth titles during his career as a light-middleweight. Macklin was halted by Moore back in 2006, but enlisted the services of his former foe after a defeat by WBA champion Gennady Golovkin.No arrests have yet been made Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
