The fight will take place in Arce's hometown of Los Mochis, Mexico on September 27. This will be a huge fight in Mexico where Gonzalez and Arce have large audiences. Gonzalez's fights are broadcast on the Mexican television station Televisa while Arce's fights are broadcast on TV Azteca. Both networks could end up televising the fight.Gonzalez (56-8, 47 KOs) won the WBC featherweight belt by scoring an upset knockout win over Abner Mares last August. Gonzalez's first defense of the WBC belt ended in a technical decision after a headbutt by opponent Clive Atwell opened up a cut over Gonzalez's right eye, and the referee determined that Gonzalez could not continue.Arce (64-7-2, 49 KOs) announced his retirement after losing to Nonito Donaire in December 2012, only to return to boxing 11 months later in November 2013.
