Frampton v Quigg – Obstacle Removed?

If the decks need clearing, mandatory defence wise, to enable Carl Frampton to meet Scott Quigg in his next fight that might just be about to happen.

The fact that Frampton is supposed to make a mandatory defence of his super-bantamweight title against the #1 IBF contender Chris Avalos, is being rammed down our throats on an almost daily basis. However, it seems that the Californian boxer might be about to take a different route to world title glory. Reports coming in from across the pond infer that Avalos is being lined up to fight the WBA / WBO super-bantamweight champion Guillermo Rigondeaux on 22nd November. Now whilst the purse bid for the fight has been won by Caribe Promotions, with a figure of $317,777.77 being quoted, nothing is definite yet with Avalos and his promoters, Top Rank, yet t decide whether to take this route or go down the Frampton route.

But, as they say, things are looking a little brighter with regards to that all-British dust-up between Quigg and Frampton.

its true , Mr  Avalos is also the WBO #1 and has been targeted by Team Rigondeaux for his mandatory . seems the bigger obstacle is Matchroom and Hearn trying to bring Avalos to England .

TR wont want anymore business with Mr Rigondeaux look for Avalos to try the Jackal instead of the Chacal and jump across the pond  It is a more winnable fight for Avalos and his 25% will be larger

Quigg should be Rigondeaux mandatory with this crap the WBA pulls TBH and Frampton should fight Santa Cruz  :esmile
