In an IBF super middleweight eliminator, Jose “Bolivita†Uzcategui (24-1, 20 KOs) scored a spectacular two-round annihilation of previously unbeaten Julius “The Chef†Jackson (19-1, 15 KOs) on Tuesday night in San Antonio’s Cowboys Dancehall. Uzcategui dropped Jackson three times in round one and referee Tony Weeks waved it off in round two after Jackson hit the canvas again. Time was :45.

In a clash of former world champions, Argenis Mendez (23-3-1, 12 KOs) outpointed Miguel Vazquez (35-5, 13 KOs) over ten tactical rounds. Scores were surprisingly wide at 99-90, 97-92 and 95-94, all for Mendez. There didn’t seem to be much to separate the two. Vazquez was deducted a point for holding in round seven.

Welterweight Ryan “Cowboy†Karl (9-0, 6 KOs) scored a six round unanimous decision over Alfonso Olvera (4-2, 2 KOs). Karl forced Olivera to take a knee in round five and went on to win 58-55, 59-54, 59-54.
