Khan’s possible opponent for the first two weeks of March – venue still TBA, but the UK could be a possibility – is down to three names: Andre Berto, Jo Jo Dan and Brandon Rios. All three fighters are more than credible, especially as “warm-up” or “tune-up” opposition (something neither fighter is likely to be happy about being referred to) and Khan, who has not boxed since winning a 12-round decision over Chris Algieri in May of 2015, knows he needs to be sharp.
