Roger Mayweather, the uncle and trainer for Floyd Mayweather Jr., doesn’t believe that WBA/WBC junior middleweight champion Saul “Canelo†Alvarez (42-0-1, 30 KO’s) will be able to crush Mayweather Jr. with his big weight advantage of 20 pounds for this fight. Roger doesn’t think weight wins fights. He thinks intelligence and skills win, and he sees Floyd Jr. as being way above the 22-year-old Canelo in those departments.

Roger said to hustlehoss.com “That’s somebody that they think can beat Floyd. It’s just somebody they believe can beat Floyd…Weight don’t win fights anyways. Weight won’t win this one either… He ain’t no beast like they say he is.â€
