Soto mercilessly battered and stopped Hiroshi Nakamori (33-6-1, 20 KOs) in nine brutal rounds to retain his WBC International silver belt on Saturday night at the Monumental Villa Charra Carlos Bowser Gonzalez in Tijuana. The super game Nakamori took a lot of punishment before the bout was finally halted by the ring doctor due to damage to Nakamori’s left eye.Soto and Morales had been talking up a possible showdown all during fight week and Morales was at ringside to observe his next possible opponent.
