Lennox Responds to Fury

Lennox Lewis claims "loud-mouth" Tyson Fury is too scared to call him out to his face.

Lewis met Fury recently and says the unbeaten heavyweight prospect was as "quiet as a mouse" before shouting his mouth off when he left.

Fury, 24, told World Boxing News: "Lennox Lewis has the cheek to talk about chins when he was proper chinny!

"He lost to journeymen, got knocked out too, what a b**ch! I have no respect for him at all."

Now former undisputed world heavyweight king Lewis, who is mentoring David Price, claims it's Fury who showed no respect.

"I keep thinking why would he call me out?" said the 47-year-old, who will be with Price on Saturday for his rematch with Tony Thompson at the Liverpool Echo Arena.

"I met Fury the other day and he was quiet, like a mouse. When he left me, he started opening his mouth, but when he was with me he was like a mouse.

"Even if I came back, I wouldn't fight you because you don't have a belt.

"Who are you?, because my dog would eat you for dinner. He has never seen anything like me. He is nothing to me. Who is he?"

Lewis is not impressed by Fury's unbeaten record and noted how he has floored by blown-up cruiserweight Steve Cunningham in his last fight.

He feels the Morecambe fighter needs to learn some respect if he is going to succeed.

"I see Tyson Fury on Twitter and YouTube calling Wladimir Klitschko all kinds of names," said Lewis.

"Wladimir is a champion and has accomplished a lot more than he will ever

accomplish. Tyson Fury hasn't made a mark, yet he gets knocked down by cruiserweights.

"He's just a loud-mouth with no respect. And guys with no respect don't last long in the game."

Lewis is more impressed with Price and says the British and Commonwealth champ is a good learner.

Lewis is mentoring Price for his rematch with Thompson - who KOed the Englishman in two rounds in February - and brought him out to Canada for part of his training camp.

"It has been good with David," he said. "He's like a sponge. We basically went back to the basics. We worked on his jab, some lateral movement and different combinations, so hopefully it'll add to his repertoire."

Despite enjoying working with Price, Lewis claims he is happy to stay retired.

"I wondered if going back into the gym and working with David would give me the itch to get back in the ring, but I've been there and done that.

"It's time for the young guys to take over."

I don't think at this Stage a 23 yr old Fury could beat a 22 yr old Riddick Bowe  as Lewis did TBH

Fury does have Lewis on the microphone but he don't got shit on Hulk Hogan :yess
